A dense field of tribal motifs fills this antique Persian Qashqai runner from end to end. Small animals, rosettes, latch-hook diamonds, trees, and colorful geometric devices sit against a dark ground, giving the rug a lively nomadic character. The ivory border, filled with angular stepped forms, creates a bright frame around the busy interior. It is richly detailed, highly graphic, and full of the storytelling quality associated with Qashqai weaving.

Lot # 420 is in good condition. The pile is mostly full, low, and even, with scattered areas of minor wear.  Both ends are complete and hand secured, and the sides are complete and secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. The rug is clean and floor ready.
