Carpets of the Berber tribes of Morocco have an allure that goes back centuries. These charming designs have fascinated interior designers and collectors for their simplicity and soft pile. They add a cozy feel to the interior, and it is sometimes easy to forget that they were created for utility more than for their design. This beautiful piece is from the mid-twentieth century, but it was created using a carpet-weaving tradition that dates as far back as pre Islamic traditions of the region.
