A pair of antique Chinese rugs, presenting an opportunity to acquire two complementary examples from China's distinguished decorative weaving tradition. Matched pairs of antique Chinese rugs are particularly prized for the decorative flexibility they offer — whether displayed symmetrically or used individually — and for the rarity of finding two pieces in close harmony.

Both pieces in Lot #237 are in fair to good condition. The pile of both rugs is mostly full and even with scattered wear spots in both. The ends and sides of both rugs are complete and hand-secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. Both rugs are clean and floor ready.
