An attractive Chinese Art Deco carpet combining traditional Chinese botanical imagery with the open spacing and modern color sensibility of the interwar period. The slightly compact room-size format makes it especially useful for a bedroom, library or central seating area. Its composition should be distinguished from Lots 473 and 475 by the final photographs and a description of its field color, border,r and principal floral motifs.
