Circa 1880 An antique Kashan rug associated with the celebrated Mohtashem tradition, renowned for exceptionally fine wool, elegant drawing, and sophisticated color relationships. Rugs of this group represent one of the high points of late nineteenth-century Kashan workshop weaving. Its intimate scale allows the refinement of the craftsmanship to be appreciated up close and offered at no reserve.
