An antique Persian Malayer carpet from circa 1900, this beautiful piece employs earthy tones and flowing hues to present a quietly striking decorative vista. Bright toffee hues mark the outermost border, leading inward to a cream-ground second border populated with floral shapes and boteh rendered in complementary tones. At the heart of the carpet, a repeating pattern draws the composition together with a comfortable, unifying rhythm — grounding all elements in a delicate and harmonious whole.
