This stunning antique Kazak Caucasian rug is a study in rigid motion and vibrant color. Through a sunny palette, the artist creates a heavenly vista that is elegantly grounded in darker, earthy tones. Milky whites, glowing yellows, fiery vermilion and gentle blues transition into one another, defining lines and guiding the eye along the rising slopes. At the center of the antique rug are several distinct triangle shapes, each housing gorgeous reed and floral motifs within their rigid shapes. Small details stand out in colored contrast, allowing the eye to rest upon many focal points before it moves on.
