This antique Caucasian Shirvan rug has a wonderfully personal folk-art quality. The dark field is filled with equestrian figures, small tribal devices, and geometric accents, all framed by multiple patterned borders. Earthy brown, rust, ivory, blue, and camel tones give the rug a warm, time-softened character. Its compact size and pictorial charm make it especially appealing as a decorative accent or collectible tribal weaving.

Lot #300 is in good condition. The pile is mostly full and even throughout. Both ends are original and securely finished. The sides are also secured. There are no visible wear or tear signs in the piece. There is no dryness in the foundation. The rug is clean and floor ready.
