Angular drawing and strong color contrast define this antique Caucasian Gendje rug. The dark field is organized with repeated geometric floral devices, star-like motifs, and vertical paneling that gives the piece a crisp tribal rhythm. Red, ivory, blue, and soft green details stand out against the darker ground, while the red border keeps the whole design contained and energetic. Although the catalog title references a Tree of Life design, the image’s stronger impression is its bold Caucasian geometry and tightly repeated field pattern.

Lot # 453 is in good condition. The pile is fell and mostly even with minor areas of wear visible. The two ends are complete and hand secured. The sides are hand secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. This rug is clean and floor ready.
