A strongly drawn Borchalu Kazak displaying the bold geometry, saturated contrasts, and substantial wool associated with South Caucasian village weaving. Borchalu rugs are recognized for forceful central medallions surrounded by angular plants, animals,s and protective devices. Their designs combine visual discipline with the spontaneity of an individual weaver, giving each rug a distinct personality.
