Vintage Scandinavian Verner Panton “Mira Spectrum” Textile, Country Of Origin: Scandinavia, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century – Verner Panton created the Mira Spectrum series in 1970. By this time in his career, he was a well-established midcentury modern designer who was known for his innovation and creativity. Panton used line and form to create pieces that went against the conventions being taught in design schools at the time. What emerged was a series the enveloped the viewer in a world of motion, color, line, and form. Many of his pieces appear to move and have a three-dimensional effect. His works are known for precision and simplicity.
