The seated figure is framed by columns, architectural panels, and an ornate border in soft blue, taupe, ivory, and warm brown tones. The rug translates a famous Western sculptural image into a woven Persian format, which gives it unusual cross-cultural appeal. Its strength lies in the clean figural drawing and the theatrical architectural setting around the central figure.

Lot # 427 is in very good condition . The pile is full and even with no visible wear or tear signs. All sides are complete and hand secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. This piece is clean.
