Beautiful and Colorful Vintage Moroccan Berber Shag Rug, Country of Origin / Rug Type: Moroccan Rugs, Circa Date: 3rd Quarter Of The 20th Century – True to the traditional style of Moroccan rugs, this beautiful Berber rug features a soothing beige background that acts as a canvas for the activity within. Several black lines frame the interior of the piece on all sides, with the most presence visible on the left and right sides of the shag rug, where two lines are set side by side. Within the core of the rug, several lines come together to create diamond formations and shapes, creating an almost cobblestone appearance to designate comfortable streets. Above the diamond patterns are several huts, with a few lines emerging from their forms to connect them to the network of diamonds below. Spaced at random intervals throughout the vintage rug’s foreground are several vibrant dots, set in a variety of different bright colors, such as yellow, red, green and blue.
