Belkis Balpinar, a trailblazer in the realm of "artkilim" wall hangings, has been innovating within this ancient kilim tradition to craft unique pieces of art since 1986. Her exceptional creations, often woven for exhibitions, extend beyond conventional boundaries as she also takes on site-specific and exclusive corporate art projects.

Her artistic prowess was sought for prestigious installations such as the World Bank Building in Washington DC and the Aramco Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Additionally, she contributed 80 distinctive pieces to adorn the Marmara-Manhattan Hotel in New York, captivating both public and private patrons alike.

Balpinar's artistic footprint extends globally, with exhibitions held in İstanbul, Ankara, New York, Princeton, Washington DC, Stockholm, Caracas, Milan, Tokyo, Lublijana, Moscow, and Bahrain, including her participation in group exhibitions.

Noteworthy accolades include the showcase of her masterpieces at the Modernist Exhibition in New York City and the Basel Art Fair in Miami, courtesy of Galleria Nilufar from Milan.
