No Reserve -Antique Persian Senneh Kilim - Circa 1900

A finely patterned antique Senneh Kilim with a dark field densely covered by minute repeating floral and geometric motifs. Senneh rugs are celebrated for their remarkably precise drawing, refined construction, and sophisticated use of color. The intricate allover design gives this compact example a jewel-like richness, while its exceptionally low starting price creates an accessible opportunity to acquire an authentic nineteenth-century Persian weaving.

Lot #572 is in good condition. There are no visible signs of wear or tears on either side of the kilim. There is one minor tear that has been sewn back together. One end is secured with the original kilim finish, while the other end needs hand-securing. The sides are securely finished. There is no dryness in the foundation. This piece is clean and floor-ready.
