An exceptional pair of silk Hereke pictorial rugs depicting animated hunting scenes with figures, animals, trees, and landscape details. The complexity of these subjects demanded tremendous technical control, with subtle curves and miniature figures translated into thousands of individual silk knots. Hunting imagery has deep roots in Persian and Ottoman court art, symbolizing nobility, courage, and royal authority. Offered together without reserve, this pair combines narrative interest, luxurious material, and impressive weaving skill.
Condition
Lot #593 , both rugs are very good condition. The pile in all of them are full and even, with no visible signs of wear. All ends are original and complete and hand-secured. The sides are securely finished. There are no dryness in their foundation. All rugs are clean and floor-ready.
