Richly woven with extraordinary detail, this monumental antique Turkish Sivas carpet presents an intricate compartmental design filled with flowering trees, elegant boteh motifs, mythical creatures, and finely rendered figural scenes inspired by classical Persian manuscript art. A wide border of decorative cartouches frames the composition, enhancing its remarkable visual depth. Dating to circa 1900, this exceptional carpet exemplifies the refined craftsmanship and artistic sophistication for which the finest Sivas weavings are celebrated.

Lot #406 is in good condition. The pile is full and even with  no visible signs of wear or tear. Both ends are complete, original  and hand-secured, and the sides are securely finished. There is no dryness in the foundation. The rug is clean and floor-ready.
