Breathtaking Large Antique Persian Mohtashem Kashan Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa date: 1880 – Antique Persian Mohtashem Kashan carpets are some of the most beautiful and most finely woven rugs in the world. Kashan is a city in Persian that has been known for its artistic designs since the early days of the Safavid Dynasty. Antique Persian Kashan carpets, by the great master weaver Mohtashem, are a special class that was created at the end of the 1800s and have always been revered for their expertise and gorgeous designs.
Condition
Lot # 566 is in a fair condition. The pile is high and low with areas of tinted pile. There are scattered areas of minor re-pile. The two ends are complete but need securing. The sides are secured. There id no dryness in the foundation. This rug is clean.
