A pale, sun-washed palette gives this large antique Turkish Oushak rug a soft and atmospheric beauty. The field is filled with an allover arrangement of stylized floral and geometric motifs in faded peach, gold, coral, pale green, and ivory tones. A wide golden border frames the composition while maintaining the rug’s light, airy feeling. Grand in scale yet gentle in color, it would bring warmth, elegance, and antique character to a large room without overwhelming the space.
Condition
Lot #383 is in very good condition. The pile is generally low and even, with only minor scattered areas of slightly heavier wear. Both ends are complete and hand secured. The sides are complete and hand secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. This rug is clean and ready for use.
