EXTREMELY RARE ANTIQUE PERSIAN BAKHTIARI CARPET, SIGNED + DATED (AH 1331/1913 AD). Circa date: Early 20th Century. 19 ft 6 in x 14 ft 7 in (5.94 m x 4.44 m). This antique and vintage rug auction consists of a collection of: Persian rugs, Moroccan rugs, Swedish rugs, Scandinavian rugs, Caucasian rugs, Indian rugs, Chinese rugs, Modern carpets, Tribal Heriz Serapi rugs and selection of decorative Turkish Oushak rugs. We happily provide seamless in-house packing and shipping services on nearly everything we sell.
Overall very good condition. Full pile throughout. Small 2 inch repair in lower right corner. Another ½ in. x 12 in. repair in center field but very well done and hardly visible. Sides rebound. Ends complete and original. Carpet is clean and floor ready. This is a statement making carpet with a charming border and interesting inscription.
