An exceptionally long and unusually wide Karabagh carpet created for a substantial gallery or reception space. Karabagh weaving developed within the culturally diverse southern Caucasus, where Persian floral traditions, Caucasian geometry,y and European decorative influences often intersected. At more than twenty-one feet long and nearly eight feet wide, the carpet occupies a rare middle ground between a runner and a full room-size carpet. Its dimensions make it especially valuable for a long gallery, loft or broad entrance hall.
