An ivory field and red prayer arch give this antique Turkish Kirsehir prayer rug a clear devotional structure. Inside the niche, stylized floral devices, small tree-like motifs, and angular ornaments are arranged with charming asymmetry. The border adds color and detail without overwhelming the open center. It has the quiet, handmade character of an Anatolian village prayer rug, where the simplicity of the layout is just as important as the individual motifs.

Lot #417 is in fair to good condition. The pile is mostly full, low, and even, with scattered areas of minor wear. There are  repairs and some repiled areas especially at one end of the rug. Both ends are complete and hand secured, and the sides are complete and secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. The rug is clean and floor ready.
