Beautiful Green Background Antique Persian Sarouk Farahan Area Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa date: 1880 – This breathtaking fine antique Persian Sarouk Farahan rug is a beautiful piece for any area of the home or office, and it holds a special place in Persian history. At the end of the 19th century, a group of Persian rug weavers decided to attempt to restore the Persian rug weaving industry to its former glory. To do so, they found weavers who still knew how to recreate designs that reflected the Golden Age of Persian Arts of the 16th century. This rug was created in the 1880’s during this time of revival.

Lot # 412 is in a very good condition. The pile is full and even with no visible wear signs. The two ends are original , complete and secured. The sides are secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. This rug is clean and floor ready.
