Provenance: Property of a retired New York dealer

A bold antique Heriz centered by a powerful geometric medallion in dark navy, ivory, and muted blue, set against a vivid madder-red field. Large angular floral forms and ivory corner spandrels create the commanding graphic character for which Heriz carpets are admired. Its generous room size, saturated naturalistic coloration and strong central design make it one of the most immediately recognizable and decorative carpets in this group.
