Beautiful Earthtone Square Size Antique Mongolian Rug, Country Of Origin: Mongolia, Circa Date: Late 19th Century – This elegant and minimalist antique Mongolian rug features a sandy brown field enclosed by complementary apricot-colored borders decorated with a well-proportioned cornerstone pattern. Simple X-motifs form several sets of interlocking lozenges that decorate the muted apricot borders. This Mongolian antique rug is decorated with simple line-based borders using a format reminiscent of leaded windows and architectural features seen in Art Deco and Arts and Crafts designs. Decorated with very simple motifs and neutral colors, this antique carpet created in the late 19th century has a timeless visage that truly defies time and trends.
