Jewelled color, raised floral detail, and metallic-looking ornament make this antique Indian tapestry rug feel more like a decorative textile panel than a standard floor covering. A dense garden of flowers fills the center, organized around a soft medallion shape and surrounded by pale scrolling borders. The black outer frame gives the bright embroidery and gem-like accents a stronger contrast. Small in size but visually elaborate, the piece is best understood as an ornamental textile meant for display, layering, or wall presentation rather than heavy floor use.
