A charismatic Cloudband Kazak centered upon the dramatic curled motifs that give this distinctive Caucasian group its name. Derived from older Asian cloud forms but transformed by Caucasian weavers into a powerful geometric vocabulary, these motifs create a composition of exceptional movement and visual rhythm. The strong proportions, graphic drawing and saturated contrasts embody the qualities most admired in collectible Caucasian village rugs.
