A dark ground and horizontal bands of ornament give this antique Caucasian Zakatala rug a distinctive tribal personality. The field includes ivory panels, red cartouches, hooked devices, small symbolic motifs, and scattered geometric forms in blue, tan, brown, and cream. The composition feels almost like a woven archive of village symbols rather than a conventional medallion rug. It is richly patterned, visually curious, and full of folk-art appeal.

Lot # 349 is in good condition. The pile is fell and mostly even with minor areas of wear visible. The two ends are complete and hand secured. The sides are hand secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. This rug is clean and floor ready.
