18th Century Antique Chinese Ningxia Rug
Size: 12 ft x 6 ft 2 in (3.65 m x 1.87 m)
Provenance: Inventory of a New York dealer
Crafted in 18th-century China, a Ningxia rug displays a harmonious palette of gold, deep blue, and muted earth tones. Intricate floral and medallion motifs, threaded with refined symmetry, exemplify the region's distinct aesthetic. Substantial dimensions make it ideal for a focal point in large interiors, reflecting the cultural wealth of Ningxia's storied weaving heritage.
Lot # 117 is shown in it's original condition. The pile is very low with scattered areas of repairs and restoration that some can be 80 to 100 years old. There is a small whole/tear near one side. Both ends are unravelling and need securing. The sides are original and need securing. There is no dryness in the foundation.
