Crafted in 17th-century Persia, this Isfahan rug stands as the smallest known example of its type. A unique round medallion with flame edging graces the red field, adorned with palmettes and scrolling vines. The deep indigo border, inspired by Kerman designs, harmonizes with ochre and red Shah Abbas palmettes. A cotton foundation and clipped pile underscore its exceptional craftsmanship.
